Jackson Chan

Chief Occupational Therapist

Listen to the body’s needs rather than what we believe

治療身體真正所需,而非治療師假設身體所需

Professional Qualification
Registered Occupational Therapist (HK)
MSc in Stroke and Clinical Neurosciences (CUHK)
BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy (POLYU, HK)

Self Introduction

Jackson graduated as a registered Occupational Therapist from the Hong Kong Polytechnique University in 2012. During his 11 years of work in the Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern hospital, he has been specialized in many medical specialties especially in Rheumatology, Neurology, Oncology, Palliative Care and Family Medicine. In 2015, during his trip to Tibet, Jackson experienced severe acute altitude sickness. He was treated by his companion, who was also an Occupational Therapist, with craniosacral therapy and the immediate treatment effect amazed Jackson. Since then, he became an enthusiast of alternative therapies. In recent years, Jackson has acquired a wide variety of coach qualifications and further developed his therapy system with movement and exercise therapy.
After more than 5000 hours of practice of craniosacral therapy and other treatment modalities, Jackson has established his own therapy system in which involves 5 phases. In the initial phases, clients’ pain, dysfunction, mobility are addressed. With a solid body foundation, exercises are introduced in the later phases.
As the founder of Locomotion, Jackson holds a strong conviction to establish a centre that can ease patients’ suffering by providing the most efficient and comprehensive therapies to them. Everyone should have the chance to receive the correct guidance to transit from sickness to wellness, then fitness.

Max Au

S&C Coach

It's easier done,

than said.

Self Introduction

As a coach, the most unique part of my background is probably having a maths degree. Studying in the University College London (UCL) allowed me to focus on nothing but all the mathematics modules that aid fitness coaching. That includes all the mechanics, formulae, statistics, spacial interpretation etc. Back then when I read fitness myths and debates, I always used to have different conceptual insights. I believe a clear mind and judgement are very useful in coaching, and all these only come as a consequence after the years. Fitness is a field of its own, my strategy to dig deep is to develope some ground rules, gather enough data, group the elements, finding the patterns, and thus analyze the abstractness behind. Then a well-thought-out training model could be established.

Certified Practice

Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA CSCS)

Advanced Personal Fitness Trainer (AASFP)

Registered Exercise Professional (ICREPS)
